Sarah's POV

 "I DON'T FUCKING CAREEEE, you have to fucking come" Kavu said on the phone more like screamed at me.

Kavu aka Kavya Virmani has been my friend since our college time, a corporate lawyer just like me. Kavya is the sole reason behind my confident personality. She is quite expressive, fun-loving creature and soft spoken too and she is the one fucking screaming at me right now, I guess I shouldn't have done this prank on her Oopsiee

"Yaaarrr kavuu you know na how things are hectic at the firm right now, I am trying my best" I said to her in my fake sad tone while I was trying to control my laugh

"Yeah, sure I know very well how hectic things are that's why I sent you the card teen mahine pehle Sarah (3 months prior Sarah), how can you do this to me TO YOUR ONE AND ONLY BESTFRIE-" Before she could continue, I cut her off "Open the door" I said There was complete silence after I said that as if she saw a ghost or something.

I heard running footsteps towards the door as it opened and there she was, my over excited bestfriend- "Hi, my beautiful bride!!!!" I said with the same energy as she hugged me super tight "You really thought I would miss the wedding of my ONE-AND-ONLY-BESTFRIEND" I said sarcastically.

Yes, my Kavu is finally marrying her highschool sweetheart Akshit Roy after all the family drama they have been through. But the only problem is who marries on a fucking ship. They took 'through highs and lows' quite seriously hahaha

"You will kill me one day agar tu aise hi pranks karti rahi toh (if you'll keep on doing pranks like this)" she said with a sigh and I laughed at her.

We entered the room and I slammed myself on the bed as I was tired as hell, Kavu also joined me

"Are you tired?" She asked

"No, I am just dancing right now" I replied, to which she laughed sarcastically and gave me a glare which meant that I should probably get up and so I did because yes, I am scared of her, I guess after my mother she is the only one I am scared of

"You should go to your room and freshen up we have the dinner today" she said to me while pushing me off the bed "Yes sirrrr" and I stood up with a jerk and went to my room

Kavya already had my room key with her so I took it from her and went to my room, but before going to my room I thought of taking a short tour of this huge cruise which was decorated with white and pink roses as they are Kavu's favorite

As soon as I reached the pool area, my eyes fell on a small figure trying to reach to something in the pool, IT WAS A 2 or 3-YEAR-OLD KID ON A POOL SIDE ALONEEEE. I sneakily moved towards him and I grabbed him from the back as soon as he was about to fall. husshhhhh, even I was surprised with how quick I was.

As I turned him towards me, I met the cutest face ever, those pink chubby cheeks, a cute red nose (I guess he was crying that's why), his little fingers holding on to my cardigan tightly and then I saw his big doe hazel eyes which I don't know why but felt so familiar as if I have seen them before but I am not able to remember where. And then the kid started screaming and crying on top of his lungs making me realize why I don't like kids. Oh, God these little devils.
